Important prerequisite for using OpenVPN on an Android 2.1+ device is for it to be *rooted*, i.e. that you have to have root access. The procedure is not straight forward at all and it is not recommended for inexperienced users.
Download the certificates, key and the config file from our server. The full list of config files is available for download from here: OpenVPN config files We have configured OpenVPN on our servers to accept connections through TCP/443 and also UDP/1194.
1. Install OpenVPN
First off, you have to install 'OpenVPN Settings'. You can find more
information about it here: http://code.google.com/p/android-openvpn-settings/
So, enter the 'Market' application and search for 'OpenVPN Settings'. Click
on 'Install', after you find it.

2. Agree Access
Agree to allow network access to that application.

3. Install the Config Files
Once OpenVPN is successfully installed, you have to copy over the config files that were downloaded earlier. First, create a folder on the sdcard, named openvpn. Then copy the files to there. Once installed, hold down the vpnuk.ovpn file for a few seconds until the file opens.
4. Edit the server address
Go to line 7 and change the 'IP-Address-Here' section over to the server IP you are connecting to, then click 'OK'.

5. Start OpenVPN
Run the application by tapping on 'OpenVPN'.

6. Menu Options
Click onto the 'Menu' button.

7. Enable TUN
Tap the 'Load TUN kernal module.

8. Enable Privileges
Click the 'Back' button and then tap on the available config file. Agree
for that app to use superuser privileges.

9. Enter Credentials
Now slide down the notification sign from the upper area of the screen. You
have to enter your username and password. .

10. Connecting
Wait for the connection to establish.

11. Thats It!
You have now successfully setup an OpenVPN connection on the VPNUK server. To connect and disconnect in the future, follow steps 9 and 10.
