L2TP Setup
L2TP with IPsec is the recommended type of VPNUK connection. If you have any problems with this type of connection you should use the more stable PPTP connection.

PPTP Setup
PPTP connections can often be slightly slower than L2TP on the VPNUK servers. We recommend you use this type of connection of you have any problems with L2TP.

Note: If you are unsure of which type of VPN connection to setup on your computer or device we recommend you try them all. Individual systems will treat each type of connection differently, where one computer will prefer a connection over L2TP another may well prefer the connection to be used over PPTP. One type of connection will nearly always perform better than the other(s), its best to try them all so you are absoloutely sure you are getting the best out of our servers.
