Android VPN — L2TP / IPSec

Older Android versions (pre-12) include a built-in L2TP/IPSec VPN client. Note: Android 12+ removed this feature — use the VPNUK App or OpenVPN instead.

Where are my VPN credentials?

Your VPN username and password are in the Members Area under VPNUK Account Details. These are different from your Members Area login.

1

Open VPN Settings

Go to Settings → Network & Internet → VPN (location varies by Android version/manufacturer). Tap the + or Add button.
2

Configure the VPN

Name: VPNUK
Type: L2TP/IPSec PSK
Server address: e.g. your-server.vpnuk.net
IPSec pre-shared key: 69000903
3

Save and Connect

Tap Save. Tap the profile, enter your VPNUK VPN username and password from the Members Area, and tap Connect.

Android 12+ users: The built-in L2TP VPN has been removed. Please use the VPNUK App or OpenVPN instead.
